Sangria by the Glass

It’s hot up here in the mountains! I love sangria when it’s hot outside, but making an entire pitcher of the stuff just for little old me can be very very dangerous. It can lead to all kinds of craziness including, but not limited to, random dancing, loud music and crank phone calls to my boss…hah!
So when it’s hot as hades outside and a glass of sangria at the end of the day sounds good, I mix orange and pineapple juice in a large pitcher and stick it in the fridge. Then, when I want a glass or two, I splash a bit of brandy and a bit of triple sec in a glass over ice (you can define “bit” any way you like, depending on how hard your day has been!) Then fill with white wine to about half way, add a lime slice if you like, or an orange slice or a bit of fresh pineapple, or all three (depending on how hard your day has been)
Finish filling the glass with the juice mixture
take it out to your deck or porch, kick off your shoes and enjoy the moment!

Loved the last post. The final photo was wonderful. Peace. I am not a city mouse….my daughter is, she lives in NYC….and I am quite a loner, but I do like activity around me. At least, when I want to be busy, I can be. That’s a choice I like.
Love your idea of sangria. It’s almost always sangria weather in S. Florida!

Oh you make me smile! I love this idea! Your glasses are so sweet! Stemless wine glasses! I saw some in the $ store. I hope they are there when I return. Always a fun stop here at your place!
