I won a Giveaway!

Barbara from Moveable Feasts http://moveablefeastscookbook.blogspot.com/ had a giveaway of these sweet retro cookbooks and I won! I just love them! They were self-published, written in script, as if they are family recipes handed down by a favorite aunt.

I don’t have a pear tree, but I have a friend with one and some of the fruit always seems to go to waste, so I will try this…

I grew up in the 50′s so they are a sweet reminder of my mom and her cooking. She used to make this cake!

and now I can too!

    I love, love, love, love these books! I have them all! And their later printed editions!

    You will love sitting outside with a steaming cup of tea, looking at the mountains and reading these!
