I Am Trying Out a new Hobby!
Written by Rocky Mountain Woman on July 16, 2012 – 6:31 am -I know, I need a new hobby like I need another hole in my head, but a friend got me started fly fishing and I’m hooked (tee hee). If you ever had a hankering to learn how to fly fish and you are a person of the female gender, I would highly recommend tracking this book down and reading it. This lady rocks!
While I have no pretensions of ever being an expert flyfisherwoman, I feel much more confident after reading this book. I live very near two world class fly fishing rivers, the Weber and the Provo, and I love the water, so decided it was time to find an excuse to spend more time on the river. It really doesn’t matter if I catch anything or not (although pan fried trout does rock my world), it’s the solitude and peace I’m looking for (and finding).

OH my I can not tell you how envious I am of you learning to fly fish. For years and years I have wanted to learn how to do this but I have never met anyone that knows how to.
Your going to love it and I can’t wait to read about your adventures.
We certainly have a lot in common don’t we. If you were older I would think you my twin. lol

My husband used to fly fish a lot and I’m trying to get him to start up again – there’s something so meditative about it – good for the blood pressure!

I did it as a youngster but not lately. You will love it. My favorite movie is “A River Runs Through It”. All about fly fishing and Brad Pitt.

My Dad used to fly fish and my husband loves it! I’ve never tried, although I used to help my Grandmother tie flies!
