NEW ORLEANS, PART DEAUX

Written by Rocky Mountain Woman on July 22, 2011 – 12:24 pm -

I can’t begin to describe how wonderful the food was. I ate in a different restaurant for every meal so I could fit in as much variety as possible. Hands down, this guy’s restaurant was my favorite.

I spent an hour or two in here (hey, it was hot out!)

Alligator! This was the first time I’d ever tried it, even though I lived in Florida for years. It was good, but pretty much anything is good deep fried and served with garlic aioli.

Emeril’s place – the food here was absolutely amazing! I had etouffee and bread pudding. It was wonderful, but I still think K Paul has him beat…

I couldn’t resist buying this…

I would highly recommend the New Orleans Food & Wine festival for anyone who obsesses over food and wine (like me). I learned so much and had such a good time. I’ll definitely come back, maybe not next year, but sometime again in the next few years for this amazing festival!

Lucky you. Just once I would like to eat my way through New Orleans. Good to see Chef Paul is still around. He used to be on TV a lot.

It looks like you had lots of food and fun! I’ve only been to New Orleans once, a long time ago. It would be fun to go again, but maybe during a cooler time of year. I just can’t handle the humidity with the heat. Thanks for all the great pictures!

I loved NOLA. One of my favorite places to eat was Upperline. Hope it hasn’t changed!

I’ve been in love with New Orleans ever since, as a young teen, I read the books of Frances Parkinson Keyes. I’d love to revisit NOLA in the springtime, and sit in a courtyard to sip coffee and nibble beignets.

Okay, okay. Now I understand the tight jeans!

    But it looks oh-so-worth it!

Never have been to New Orleans – have always wanted to…the food looks fabulous! Personally, I favor jeans with an elastic waste…for me, much more forgiving! Zippers and buttons are highly overrated…
