This is sooooo amazing , warm from the oven with a little dab of butter. It’s Martha’s recipe, so you know it’s good!
Ingredient list:
1/2 cup butter, room temperature
1 cup sugar
2 eggs
1 1/2 cups unbleached flour
1 t baking soda
1 t salt
1 cup mashed very ripe bananas
1/2 cup sour cream
1 t vanilla
1/2 cup chopped walnuts or pecans
I apologize in advance for the “action mixer shots”, I just couldn’t help myself….
add the eggs and mix thoroughly
Sift the dry ingredients and add slowly to the butter, sugar egg mixture

add the mashed bananas, sour cream and vanilla, mix thoroughly
Stir in the nuts and pour into one large or several smaller loaf pans which have been slathered in butter

Bake for about 1 hour at 350 degrees and enjoy

What a beautiful link to Alphabe-Thursday’s letter B.
I love banana bread. Your recipe is slightly different than mine. If my husband would ever let bananas go bad, I might be able to try this!
Thanks for a recipe bonanza again this week for your link.

That looks incredible! I have not made banana bread in years.. I may have to rethink that. It was something we had a lot of growing up, you’ve made me nostalgic (well, and hungry!)
